A community based cross sectional study was conducted in June 2018 in three sub districts of Jamalpur district- Bangladesh. A total of 381 mothers having children of 0-23 months age were interviewed. The rates of initiation of early initiation of breast feeding (EIBF) within one hour after birth and exclusive breast feeding (EBF) were 48.0% and 51.3% respectively.
